The Holy Kotel
This picture was taken about two weeks ago. It was about 1am in the morning and there where still people praying at the Western Wall in Jerusalem. It has something magical to stand at the Kotel in the middle of the night. Isn`t it fascinating that the Kotel is open 24x7. Just like Hashem never sleeps and always listens to your prayer the Kotel one of the Holies Places in Israel is never closed. For the Goyim it might just be a Wall but sitting in front of it, closing your eyes and talking to Hashem is like facing him personally. You feel so close and uplifted after it. I remember going there as a little child and just sticking my note in to the Wall and hoping that Hashem would send me a cat for my next birthday. The Kotel is more than just a long wishing list for our father. It is like a phone booth you need to go and call your boss to ask if everything is ok. To ask how he is doing to thank and to talk to him. Thank you Hashem for this holy place we can go to and pour our hearts out. Thank you for giving us Eretz Israel and thank you for taking care of your people.
We love you, we love the Kotel, we love Eretz Israel. עַם יִשְרָאֵל חַי
