Merry What????

Before I start writing, I want to make clear again that I am not trying to hurt anyones feelings. Some of you may thing that I am fanatic or very strict or even out of my mind (G-d forbid). I am just writing what is on my mind....

So, since I am spending this December in Berlin, you can not escape the fact that the whole Goyisch world is celebrating what they call Christmas. Fine. Beautiful. They get together once a year and sitting and eating and give each other presents. Thats very fine with me. B"H I see my family every week at the Shabbes table and do not have to wait one year.

So what does Jews have to do with X-Mas? I just opened Facebook and saw at least 4 Jews posting Happy Christmas or X-Mas or whatever. It totally broke my heart. Why not posting Shabbat Shalom. Why do you want to be like them? Why are you embarresed to be Jewish. It is the biggest gift you can get and what do you do you are trying to please your Goyish friends with a Holiday they do not even know why they are celebrating. They do not even know that J.C. was a Rabbi. The whole world is celebrating the Birthday of a Rabbi. They are sitting together and praising this Rabbi and singing songs about him.

This weeks Parasha (Shemot) is about the birth of Moshe. Hashem decided that it is time for us to move out of Exile and to become the greatest nation in the world. In the middle of the Parasha Hashem is having a long discussion with Moshe Rabbenu. G-d called Moshe to be our leader and to remove us from the hand of Pharao. So what is Moshe doing, he is arguing with Hashem. He is afraid of this mission. He is afraid to fail...

We should not be afraid to fail. We should not be afraid to be Jewish. Hashem is talking to us. He is giving us a mission. Nobody sad it is easy. Who told you that life is easy. It is tuff. But the most opposite direction to go is to post Merry X-Mas on Facebook.
Stop being embarresed of yourself and start being a proud Jew.

I wish you all the most beautiful Shabbat you have ever had.

Schöner Artikel. Vielen Dank für die Musik.

Ich stimme zu, was haben wir mit X-Mas zu tun? Viele Juden wissen einfach nicht woher sie kommen. Wir müssen ihnen den Kaf Schut geben.
